being a kid

kids at a fountain

Sometimes I feel that it's hard to live the life of an adult. Responsibility, work, networking, social gatherings, and keeping things straight.

When was the last time you let go and acted like a kid again? When was the last time you didn't think about things and just ran though the fountain?

note: the Mall staff turned off the fountain and held the kids for questioning. Their parents were not at the scene...

relationships... strong like steel?

A fence in Junju

We all know that the "Man of steel" wasn't invincible. No matter how strong you are, there is always something that can break you down and show you that you are weak. No matter how strong you think something is, it can be broken.

Sometimes we need a good reminder to humble ourselves and realize that things aren't as strong as we think.

Everything needs attention and care to stay strong. It could be your relationships, health, or even your mind. We need to keep the rust away. Keep it from eating away at the strong parts till it's beyond repair.

A trip to my eldest Uncle's house near my father's hometown gave me a chance to get away from the busy work life and to do some family things. Although it was a very short trip, it was good as I got to see some family as well as talk with my sister on the bus ride and at night.

Family relationships need maintenance, but sometimes I take them for granted. A picture to show me that relationships can sometimes fail if neglected. I hope my relationships don't turn out like that fence.

doing things you enjoy

I've recently re-discovered some of my hobbies that I did when I was younger.

Initial D Version 4
My new pocket trumpet

I've started taking pictures (Canon EOS 10D) , playing badminton, playing Intial D (a driving video arcade game) and playing musical instruments like the trumpet, piano, and guitar.

It's given me something else to think about and do besides work and it's making things better.

A friend and co-worker recently said during a conversation , "find the little things that make you happy during your day and focus on them".

I think sometimes we need to find things that make us happy and take the positives from it and fill our day with happiness.

What is something that has made you happy today?

a new beginning

Sometimes a fresh start is a good thing.
Having a new outlook and a new beginning can be helpful.

A new blog to hopefully start some good changes.
